Prelude : Christmas eve. Song and movement - snowflakes, trees, Jack Frosts etc.

Scene 1 : A snug sitting room decorated with Christmas trimmings.

Children are anticipating Christmas. Chrissie doesn't want a new teddy bear, she only wants her tatty old teddy mended. They all go to bed. After eating a record 21 mince pies, Santa drops and breaks Mum's present, a tea pot, and wakes the children. They ask to go back to Winter Wonderland with Santa to get her a new one.

Scene 2 : Inside Santa's Christmas Factory.

Elves are busy making toys for Christmas. They show some to the children.

Scene 3 : In a field outside Santa's Christmas Factory.

Snowmen talk. Rudolphina shows off her lovely red nose, but is not very happy with her antlers and coat. Rudolph says she is beautiful.

Scene 4 : Menders' Shop

Lisa's teddy is mended. There is an opportunity at the end of this scene to include your own nativity scene or tableaux.

Scene 5 : As for scene 1

Was the Christmas factory just a dream, or was it real?

Snowman 4      When the Spring comes you lot will be miserable drips too.

Snowman 2      Oooooh! Don’t talk about Spring, I come over all melty.

All                  [ Distastefully ] Ooooo!

SONG : SNOWMEN

During the song all the snowmen dance stiffly.

Snowman 3      Let’s have a game of footsnowball!

Snowman 6      No. Let’s go for a swim. [ All the snowmen look in disbelief ]

Snowman 1      [ Shaking a finger ] You are a clot. We’d melt!

Snowman 5      [ Closely inspects snowman 6’s head ] Have you got a turnip for a bonce?

Snowman 4      [ In a very miserable voice, prodding snowman 6’s head ]

Have you got a pumpkin for a brain?

Snowman 6      [ In a very superior voice ] No, but got a lovely big orange carrot for a nose, which is more than can be said for you lot. [ The other snowmen frantically feel their noses ]

Snowman 2      He’s right you know. If we hurry up we’ll just catch the greengrocers before he closes. Come on. [ Exit snowmen. The reindeer stretch and walk centre stage ]

Rudolphina       [ She is looking in a mirror. Flicks back her hair ]

Oh dear, I’m having a really bad hair day. All that rushing through the snow has made me look a right mess.

Rachel             And I’m all yucky and sweaty.

Rebecca           [ In a posh voice ] Rachel really! Lady reindeer don’t sweat, they just glow.

Rudolphina       There’s only one thing that really glows around here, and it’s my nose.

[ She pats it proudly ]
